Beat the Heat in Dubai

I don't do well in extreme heat, but I've learned to survive Dubai summers. So, I'll share my tips. Last summer, I visited Ski Dubai on August 15th and it was a game-changer — you can ski in the middle of the desert for AED 150.

Indoor Activities

Look, when it's 45°C outside, you want to stay indoors. Honestly, malls are your best friends — they're air-conditioned and have plenty of activities. You can visit the Dubai Mall, which has an ice rink, or the Mall of the Emirates, which has Ski Dubai - I paid AED 100 for a snow park experience.

Morning Outdoor Activities

And if you still want to enjoy the outdoors, do it early in the morning. I'd wake up at 5 am and go for a walk along Jumeirah Beach Road. It's cooler, and you can watch the sunrise. But be sure to stay hydrated — I always carry a refillable water bottle with me.

Evening Desert Safaris

Here's the thing: desert safaris are a must-try in Dubai, even in the summer. You can book an Evening Desert Safari with BBQ Dinner for AED 250, which includes activities like dune bashing and camel riding. Just don't forget your sunscreen.

Day Trips

So, if you want to escape the heat, consider a day trip to Abu Dhabi. I booked a Full-Day Abu Dhabi City Tour from Dubai for AED 320, which included a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque - our driver, Kumar, was very knowledgeable. You'll also get to visit the Louvre Abu Dhabi, which has a nice, cool interior.
