Discover BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi

Ahmed Al Rashid June 06, 2026

I visited the BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi on a sunny Friday, 17th February, and I was blown away by its grandeur. So, I'm excited to share my experience with you. The temple is located near the Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, and the best way to get there is by taxi, which costs around 60-80 AED from downtown Abu Dhabi.

Getting There

And, if you're driving, be aware that parking is limited, so plan ahead. My driver, Abdul, dropped me off right in front of the temple, which saved me a lot of hassle. Look, the temple's official website provides a detailed map and directions, so be sure to check that out before heading over.

Temple Architecture

The BAPS Hindu Mandir Abu Dhabi is an architectural marvel, with intricate carvings and stunning stone work. Honestly, I was amazed by the attention to detail and the sheer scale of the project. The temple complex is spread over 55 acres of land, and it's estimated to have cost around 700 million AED to build.

Admission and Tickets

Here's the thing: admission to the temple is free, but you'll need to book a timed-entry ticket in advance, which costs 10 AED per person. You can book your tickets online through the temple's website, and I'd recommend doing so at least a week in advance, especially on weekends. But, if you want a guided tour, you'll need to pay an additional 20 AED per person.

Food and Drink

So, after exploring the temple, I headed over to the food court, where I ordered a delicious plate of vegetarian biryani for 25 AED. The food court offers a range of Indian and international cuisine, and it's a great place to take a break and recharge. You can also grab a snack or a drink from the vending machines located throughout the temple complex.
