Dubai Aquarium vs Atlantis

Sarah Mitchell April 30, 2026

Dive into the Debate

I don't know about you, but I've always been fascinated by marine life. And, living in Dubai, I've had the chance to visit both the Dubai Aquarium and Atlantis Lost Chambers. So, which one is better? I visited the Dubai Aquarium on January 10th, and it was amazing. The entrance fee was around AED 120, which I thought was reasonable.

Getting There

Look, getting to the Dubai Aquarium is easy - just hop off at the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall metro station and you're there. But, if you're heading to the Atlantis Lost Chambers, you'll need to take a taxi or drive to Palm Jumeirah. And, honestly, the traffic on Palm Jumeirah can be a nightmare. I remember my driver, Rashid, taking a detour via Sheikh Zayed Road to avoid the traffic, and we still ended up late.

What to Expect

Here's the thing: both attractions have their unique features. The Dubai Aquarium has a massive tank with thousands of fish, and you can even take a glass-bottom boat ride for an extra AED 50. The Atlantis Lost Chambers, on the other hand, has a more extensive collection of marine animals, including sharks, rays, and even a massive octopus. I was amazed by the variety of species, and the interactive displays were really engaging. And, after visiting the Lost Chambers, I headed to the nearby Madame Tussauds Dubai to take some fun photos with the wax figures.

Personal Favorites

I don't know about you, but I'm a big fan of interactive experiences. So, I loved the Atlantis Lost Chambers' touch pools, where I could get up close and personal with some of the marine animals. But, if you're looking for something more thrilling, you might want to check out the Evening Desert Safari or the Ski Dubai Classic Pass for some adrenaline-pumping fun. I ordered a delicious shawarma from a street vendor on Al Falak Street after my desert safari, and it was the perfect way to cap off the night.

Practical Tips

So, if you're planning to visit either of these attractions, make sure to book your tickets in advance to avoid the queues. You can even book a guided tour through Roamigo Trips to get the most out of your experience. Honestly, it's a great way to save time and get some insider knowledge.
