Dubai Holiday Budget Breakdown

Ahmed Al Rashid June 24, 2026

So, you're thinking of visiting Dubai? I did, on January 10th, 2023, and it was an experience I'll never forget. I hired a driver, Amir, who took me to all the major spots. My first stop was the Burj Khalifa, which cost around AED 125 to enter.

Accommodation Costs

Food and Drink

I tried all sorts of food, from shawarma at AED 10 to a fancy dinner at a restaurant in Dubai Mall, which cost AED 200 per person. But, my favorite dish was the machboos I had at a local restaurant near the Creek, which cost AED 50. And, don't forget to try some traditional Emirati dessert, like luqaimat, which costs around AED 20.

Activities and Entrance Fees

Here's the thing: there are tons of activities to do in Dubai, and they all come with a price tag. A trip to the Desert Safari can cost around AED 150 per person, while a visit to the 3D World Selfie Museum costs AED 50. I also took a Premium Marina Dhow Cruise, which cost AED 250 per person.

Transportation Costs

So, getting around Dubai can be pricey. A taxi ride from Dubai International Airport to your hotel can cost around AED 50, while a day pass for the Dubai Metro costs AED 20. I opted for a weekly pass, which cost AED 100.

Budgeting Tips

Honestly, budgeting for a trip to Dubai requires some planning. My tip is to book your tours and activities in advance to avoid high prices. You can book tours through companies like Roamigo Trips, which offer a range of activities and experiences. By planning ahead, you'll be able to enjoy all that Dubai has to offer without breaking the bank.
