Dubai NYE: Burj Khalifa Fireworks

Roamigo Team May 17, 2026

I still remember December 31st, 2019, when I watched the Burj Khalifa fireworks with my friends. We'd arrived at the Dubai Mall by 6 pm, and it was already packed. So, we decided to grab a bite at the food court, where I ordered my favorite shawarma for AED 20.

Before You Go

Look, getting to the Dubai Mall on New Year's Eve isn't easy. The closest metro station, Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, is usually closed due to security reasons, so you'll have to take a taxi or ride-hailing service from a nearby station like Business Bay. And, be prepared for heavy traffic and long queues.

Best Viewing Spots

Honestly, the best spot to watch the fireworks is from the Dubai Fountain area, but you'll need to arrive early to secure a good spot. The tickets for the Dubai Fountain Lake Ride, which offers a great view of the fireworks, start from AED 150. Alternatively, you can book a table at one of the restaurants in the Dubai Mall with a view of the Burj Khalifa, like At.mosphere, which can cost around AED 500 per person for a set menu.

Alternative Options

But, if you can't make it to the Dubai Mall, there are other options to watch the fireworks. You can head to the Sky Views Dubai – Observatory & Glass Slide Adventure, which offers a great view of the city. Or, you can take a Full-Day Abu Dhabi City Tour from Dubai with Pickup the next day, which includes a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

Personal Experience

Here's the thing: watching the fireworks at the Burj Khalifa is an experience you won't forget. Our driver, Khalid, had dropped us off near the Dubai Mall, and we'd walked to the fountain area, where we found a spot to watch the fireworks. It was crowded, but the atmosphere was electric.

Practical Tips

So, if you're planning to watch the Burj Khalifa fireworks this New Year's Eve, make sure to arrive early, wear comfortable shoes, and stay hydrated. You can book tours and activities through Roamigo Trips to make the most of your trip to Dubai. One last tip: don't forget your camera, as the fireworks display is truly breathtaking.
