Dubai NYE: Burj Khalifa Fireworks

Sarah Mitchell May 29, 2026

I still remember December 31st, 2019, when I watched the Burj Khalifa fireworks display — it was truly breathtaking! So, if you're planning to spend New Year's Eve in Dubai, I've got you covered. The Burj Khalifa fireworks are a must-see, and I'd recommend arriving early to grab a good spot.

Best Spots to Watch the Fireworks

Look, the best spots to watch the fireworks are around the Burj Khalifa, obviously. You can head to the Dubai Mall, which offers a great view of the display. And, if you're willing to spend AED 500, you can book a table at one of the rooftop restaurants in the Downtown area, like At.mosphere on the 122nd floor of the Burj Khalifa. But, be prepared for huge crowds, especially around the Dubai Metro stations like Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall.

Getting There

Here's the thing: getting to the Burj Khalifa area on New Year's Eve can be a challenge. I'd recommend taking the metro, as traffic is usually crazy. The closest metro station is Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, and from there, you can take a short walk to the Dubai Mall or the Burj Khalifa. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, but be prepared to pay a premium, around AED 100-150, depending on traffic.

Food and Drink Options

Honestly, you won't go hungry in the Downtown area, as there are plenty of food options available. I always head to the Dubai Mall's food court, where you can find everything from Arabic cuisine to international fast food. And, if you're looking for a more unique experience, you can book a Marina Dhow Cruise with dinner, which offers a stunning view of the Dubai Marina and a delicious meal.

Personal Experience

One year, I decided to book a tour with our driver, Ali, who took us to the best spots to watch the fireworks. We even managed to squeeze in a visit to the Dubai Miracle Garden before the display, which was truly magical. And, after the fireworks, we headed to the LEGOLAND Water Park to celebrate the start of the new year.

So, to make the most of your New Year's Eve in Dubai, I'd recommend booking a tour with Roamigo Trips, which offers a range of packages, including the Burj Khalifa fireworks display, from AED 200 per person.
