Dubai to RAK: A Fun Getaway

Roamigo Team June 05, 2026

I recently took a trip to Ras Al Khaimah, and I'm still raving about it. So, if you're looking for a quick escape from Dubai, RAK is the way to go. You can get there by car, and the drive is pretty straightforward — just take the E311 from Dubai.

Getting to Ras Al Khaimah

Look, the best way to get to RAK is by car, but you can also take a bus or taxi. I'd recommend driving, though - it's around 1 hour and 15 minutes from Dubai, depending on traffic. And, if you don't have a car, you can always hire one for around AED 200 per day.

Top Things to Do in RAK

Here's the thing: RAK has a lot to offer, from beautiful beaches to historic forts. Honestly, my favorite part of the trip was visiting the Dhayah Fort, which costs around AED 10 to enter. But, if you're looking for something more adventurous, you can always go hiking in the Jebel Jais mountains.

Where to Eat in RAK

I stopped by a small restaurant on Al Muntasir Road, and I had the best shawarma of my life - it was only AED 15! You'll also find plenty of other restaurants serving everything from Indian to Italian cuisine.

Accommodation in RAK

So, I visited RAK on December 15th, and I stayed at a hotel near the beach. The prices vary, but you can find a decent hotel for around AED 500 per night. My driver, Khalid, recommended it to me, and it was perfect for a relaxing getaway.

Plan Your Trip

But, before you head to RAK, make sure to plan your trip in advance. You can check out other tours and activities on our website, like Motiongate Dubai Tickets or At The Top, Burj Khalifa. And, if you're feeling adventurous, you can always head to Abu Dhabi and check out the Ferrari World. For a hassle-free experience, consider booking your RAK tour through Roamigo Trips — they'll take care of everything for you.

So, to make the most of your trip, I'd recommend booking your hotel and activities in advance, especially during peak season. It'll save you a lot of time and money in the long run.
