I visited Global Village on a chilly winter evening, 15th February, and it was amazing. So, if you're planning to go, here's what you need to know. Tickets cost AED 15 per person, and you'll need to buy them online in advance.
Look, getting to Global Village is relatively easy, you can take a taxi or drive, and there's plenty of parking available for AED 10. And, if you're using public transport, the closest metro station is Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road, from there you can take a taxi or bus. Honestly, it's not too far from Downtown Dubai, so you can even take a 20-minute taxi ride from there.
Here's the thing: Global Village has something for everyone, from thrill rides to cultural exhibits. You can explore the different pavilions, each representing a country, and try some delicious food. But, be prepared for crowds, especially on weekends. I tried some amazing Pakistani dishes at the Pakistan pavilion, and they were so good.
So, the shows and events at Global Village are definitely worth checking out, from concerts to cultural performances. And, don't miss the amazing fireworks display at the end of the night. We booked our tickets for the fireworks show in advance, and it was totally worth it, costing AED 20 per person.
Honestly, the food options at Global Village are endless, from street food to fine dining. You can try some traditional Emirati cuisine or go for some international options. I ordered some delicious shawarma from a stall near the Egypt pavilion, and it cost me AED 15. If you're looking for more dining options, you can check out the 3D World Selfie Museum Dubai which is not too far from Global Village.
So, before you go to Global Village, make sure to check the weather, and dress accordingly. And, don't forget to wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking. You can also check out other tour options like Evening Desert Safari or Dubai Safari Park which can be booked through Roamigo Trips. You'll need to book your Global Village tickets online, and it's best to do it in advance to avoid sold-out situations, trust me, you don't want to miss out on this experience.
