JBR Beach and Bluewaters Island Guide

Roamigo Team June 12, 2026

I still remember my visit to JBR Beach on a sunny Friday, 17th February, and it was packed. We arrived early, around 8 am, to grab a good spot, and by 10 am, the beach was buzzing with people. You'll find plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas available for rent, starting from AED 50 per person.

And, if you get hungry, there are lots of restaurants and cafes along the beach, like Aprons & Hammers, which serves an amazing seafood platter for AED 120.

Getting to JBR Beach

So, to get to JBR Beach, you can take the metro to Dubai Marina Station, then hop on the tram, which will drop you off right at the beach. Alternatively, you can take a taxi, which will cost around AED 20-30 from downtown Dubai.

Things to Do on JBR Beach

Look, there's plenty to do on JBR Beach, from swimming and sunbathing to water sports like kayaking and paddleboarding. You can also take a leisurely walk along the beachfront promenade, which offers stunning views of the Arabian Gulf.

Bluewaters Island

Here's the thing: Bluewaters Island is a must-visit, even if you're not a fan of beaches. The island is home to the iconic Ain Dubai Ferris wheel, which offers breathtaking views of the city. You can book tickets for the Sky Views Dubai – Observatory & Glass Slide Adventure for an adrenaline-packed experience.

Eating and Drinking on Bluewaters Island

Honestly, the food options on Bluewaters Island are endless, with everything from fine dining restaurants to casual eateries. I'd recommend trying the Deluxe Marina Dhow Cruise for a unique dining experience.

Practical Tips

So, if you're planning to visit JBR Beach and Bluewaters Island, don't forget to bring sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. And, if you want to avoid the crowds, try visiting during the week instead of on weekends. You can also book a tour through Roamigo Trips, which includes a visit to The View at The Palm for a prime time experience.
