Louvre Abu Dhabi: What to See

Sarah Mitchell May 02, 2026

My Louvre Abu Dhabi Experience

I visited the Louvre Abu Dhabi on a sunny day, November 15th, and it was breathtaking. The museum's stunning architecture is a work of art in itself. You'll need at least 2-3 hours to see the highlights, but I'd recommend dedicating a whole day to explore the complex.

Must-See Exhibits

Look, the Louvre Abu Dhabi has an incredible collection of art and artifacts from around the world. Some of the must-see exhibits include the Monet and Van Gogh collections, as well as the stunning Ancient Greek and Roman galleries. Honestly, the sheer scale of the exhibits can be overwhelming, so it's a good idea to plan your visit in advance.

Practical Tips

So, here's the thing: tickets to the Louvre Abu Dhabi cost around AED 60 per person, and you can buy them online or at the door. And, if you're planning to visit during peak season, it's a good idea to book your tickets in advance to avoid long wait times. But, if you're short on time, consider visiting the Burj Khalifa instead, which offers stunning views of the city.

Getting There

Getting to the Louvre Abu Dhabi is relatively easy, with plenty of taxis and ride-hailing services available from Dubai. My driver, Khalid, took me from Dubai Marina to the museum in about an hour, depending on traffic. You can also take the metro to the ADNEC station and then take a taxi from there.

Eating and Drinking

I stopped for lunch at the museum's cafe, where I ordered the delicious Chicken Shawarma for AED 40. The food was great, and the views of the Arabian Gulf were stunning. You'll also find plenty of other dining options nearby, including some great restaurants on Al Saadiyat Island. If you're looking for something more adventurous, check out the Dubai Dolphinarium for a fun day out.

Book Your Tour

So, if you're planning a trip to the Louvre Abu Dhabi, consider booking a tour with Roamigo Trips. We offer a range of tours and activities, including visits to the The View at The Palm, that can be tailored to your interests and budget. Honestly, it's a great way to see the sights without the hassle of planning everything yourself. And, as a final tip, be sure to check the museum's website for any special exhibitions or events that may be happening during your visit.
